Characteristics and applications of cylindrical roller bearings

Abstract:

High-precision cylindrical roller bearings with tapered bores are marked with the suffix symbol K and are produced with a taper angle of 1:12. Mainly suitable for the machine tool manufacturing industry, the radial clearance and preload of the tapered hole can be adjusted through the axial movement of the tapered supporting surface of the shaft during assembly.

Key words: High-precision cylindrical roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings,

single-row cylindrical roller bearings, double-row cylindrical roller bearings.

Characteristics of cylindrical roller bearings

Machine tool spindles have extremely high requirements for bearing rotation accuracy. High-precision cylindrical roller bearings not only have high rigidity and high load-bearing capacity, but also achieve a good combination of high speed performance and small cross-sectional height.

The small cross-sectional height enables smaller wheelbases in multi-axis assembly. Cylindrical roller bearings are ideal for floating bearings due to their ability to compensate for length changes in mating components that are subject to thermal constraints.

Applications of cylindrical roller bearings

High-precision cylindrical roller bearings used in machine tools are available in a variety of structures. Size series 19 and 10 produce single-row bearings, while size series 30 and 49 produce double-row bearings. The bore diameter and outer diameter of single-row and double-row cylindrical roller bearings are exactly the same within each diameter series.
