Series and Variants

BRZB offers two distinct designs of double direction angular contact thrust ball bearings: the 23 and BAR&BTR series. While both series share identical inner and outer rings diameters, the BAR&BTR series features a 25% lower bearing height (see (fig. 1)), making it ideal for compact setups. Although the 23 series lacks the load-carrying capacity and axial stiffness of the BAR&BTR series, it excels in higher-speed applications.

  • Basic Design Bearings: 23 Series
·Comprise two single row angular contact thrust ball bearings with a 60° contact angle, arranged back-to-back (see (fig. 2)).
·This setup, along with the high ball count, allows these bearings to handle substantial axial loads in both directions and offers excellent system rigidity.
·Provide maximum load-carrying capacity and system rigidity.
·Suitable for shaft diameters ranging from 30 to 520 mm.
    ·Are separable in design.
·Generate a specific preload when the shaft washers are compressed.
·Available with either steel or ceramic balls (Hybrid bearings).
·Optionally come with an annular groove and three lubrication holes in the housing washer (suffix W33).
·Can be customized with a larger bore diameter for immediate adjacent mounting to a large-diameter side of a cylindrical roller bearing with a tapered bore (e.g., 234768 M/SP).
  • High-Speed Design Bearings: BAR*BTR Series
·Consist of two non-separable single row angular contact ball bearings, arranged back-to-back (see (fig. 3)).
    ·Designed for maximum speed capabilities.
·Suitable for shaft diameters ranging from 40 to 200 mm.
·Engineered to handle axial loads in both directions.
·Generate a specific preload when the inner rings are compressed.
·Available with either steel or ceramic balls (Hybrid bearings).
    ·Offer two different contact angles:
BAR 30° contact angle (prefix BAR) for higher speed capabilities.
BTR 40° contact angle (prefix BTR) for applications requiring greater axial rigidity.

According to ISO definitions, BAR*BTR series bearings are categorized as radial bearings due to their 30° or 40° contact angles. However, as these bearings are designed solely for axial loads.
