Bearing Design: Double Direction

These are precision-engineered bearings that function as double direction thrust cylindrical roller bearings, incorporating an additional radial bearing component.

  • Mounting Options: With or Without Fixing Holes

These bearings come in two variants: with (ZARNfig.1) and without (ZARFfig.2) fixing holes in the outer ring. The ones with holes can be directly screw-mounted onto adjacent structures. The expansive contact surface and finely spaced holes enable an ultra-rigid connection with minimal settling, thus eliminating the need for a separate bearing cover and the associated fitting work.

For scenarios where the axial abutment provided by the shaft locating washer is inadequate, or if a seal raceway is needed, bearings featuring a one-sided extended stepped shaft locating washer are available.

  • Key Features

The bearing assembly consists of an outer ring with both radial and axial raceways, shaft locating washers, an inner ring, a radial needle roller and cage assembly, and axial cylindrical roller and cage assemblies. These bearings are available with or without fixing holes.

  • Load Capacity

These bearings are designed to support both radial and axial loads, as well as tilting moments.

  • Preload and Internal Clearance

The components of the bearing—outer ring, inner ring, and axial cages—are matched to ensure axial clearance-free operation after preloading via an INA precision locknut. The radial internal clearance is in accordance with Group 2 as specified by ISO 5753-1 (DIN 620-4).

  • Operating Temperature and Limitations

The operating temperature is constrained by the dimensional stability of the bearing components, the type of lubricant used, and the seals. Specific operating temperature ranges for these thrust cylindrical roller bearings are available. Normally operation temperature range is from – 30°C to + 120°C.
